Jon Prell

I have been at WKDQ for 13 years and have loved every minute of it. My career started in Southern California and I arrived in Evansville in 1994. I have three children that keep me very busy and the rare opportunity to go out and not have a six foot mouse serving your table is a rare and welcome treat. I love motorcycles and classic country and even host the WKDQ Country Classics show every Saturday from 6-10am. If I can I can ever play a song for you, let me know at wkdq.com.

Were Time Travelers Using Cell Phones in 1928 and 1938 Film Clips?

This video is a very strange piece of footage from 1938, which seems to show a young woman talking on a cell phone or some kind of portable phone - the technology for which obviously did not exist in 1938. This footage has been around for a while and conspiracy theorists have been buzzing about; claiming its proof that time travelers do exist.

Baby Can Do More Pull-Ups Than You [Video]

I kill myself in the gym at the Downtown Evansville YMCA everyday. I have finally gotten to the point where I feel pretty comfortable and confident with my workout. I even attempted a few pull-ups the other day that I haven't done since high school. I couldn't do very many and talk about a confidence buster - the baby in the below video crushed my self-esteem.

McDonald’s in Massachusetts Requiring a College Degree to Be a Cashier

McDonald's has always been a great place for high school students to work since they first opened their doors. How many kids got their very first job at McDonald's?
