The Community Action Program of Evansville (CAPE) is one of the only organizations people can turn to for help with their utility bills. CAPE also provides many other services to residents of Vanderburgh, Gibson and Posey counties. This year, CAPE has not received the funds they would normally receive, which means they may not be able to help as many people as in years past. The economy has hit everybody very hard and paying a utility bill can be a big burden for some in our community. We are fortunate, in that, this winter has been very mild so far, but eventually it will get very cold and people will need help.

In an effort to raise much needed funds, the American Advertising Federation - Greater Evansville is presenting the first annual Winter Ball on Saturday January 21st at 7pm in the Old Post Office Plaza at 101 NW 1st Street. The price is a $25 donation for couples $15 donation for indiviuals and corporate tables are available. Enjoy Hors D' Oeuvres, a cash bar and a live DJ with proceeds benefiting CAPE to keep Evansville warm. To learn more about the ball and make reservations, click here or call 812-426-9041.
