Buffalo Trace Festival Returns for Its 7th Year

In addition to a fantastic musical lineup, the 2024 Buffalo Trace Festival will include a beer and wine garden, an assortment of food vendors, and even carnival rides for just $10. Having been there myself in previous years, I can say with certainty it's a lot of fun. The festival is now in its seventh year, but originally, there were no annual plans.

"This came about to celebrate our bicentennial back in 2017," said Petersburg Mayor R.C. Klipsch on WKDQ's The Ride Home. "We had so much fun with it that we decided to keep it going every year."

The fun has even been expanded to three days this year, with the annual parade and kickoff festivities set for Thursday, October 10. Additionally, Mayor Klipsch said the festival will have an assortment of new activities planned for that evening.

"It's only been a two-day event in the past, but we've increased it to three evenings this year, and we've got a lot more going on," he said. "Thursday night we're doing something different and featuring local entertainment."

We asked several country artists which act they would not want to play after at a show. Keep scrolling to see which artists are just too good to follow up.
