Nashville Country Artists to Headline Two-Day Indiana Festival
The Petersburg Buffalo Trace Festival is set for October 10-12, and is set to bring some phenomenal country artists to the Main Street stage.
One of the things I like most about Indiana is experiencing all the fun annual festivals. Growing up in the southwest part of the state, I attended quite a few in the Pike, Daviess, and Knox County areas, and each had their own charm. The Buffalo Trace Festival, which takes place every fall in Petersburg, Indiana, is one of my many favorites and includes a wide variety of food vendors, activities, and live music. Discover Downtown Petersburg recently announced the musical acts for this year's festivities, and I think guests will be in for a big treat.
Friday
The two-day festival is happening on Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12. Each day will feature a different headlining artist, along with some popular local artists. On Friday, Brandon Davis (8:30 p.m.–10 p.m.) will return to headline Petersburg’s Buffalo Trace Festival, but the night will also feature local favorites Eighty-Sixt (6:30 p.m.–8 p.m.) and Hometown Gold (5 p.m.–6 p.m.). Here is what Discover Downtown Petersburg said about Davis on social media:
After a nearly fatal car crash back in 2019, Brandon Davis realized just how short life can be and was determined not to waste another minute. With the support of his wife and family, he picked up his guitar and began releasing song after song that quickly caught the attention of millions as Billboard, People Magazine and more began sharing his story and the music that encompasses it. His second song ever released, “Step by Step” landed no. 4 on the Billboard charts and garnered Davis fans from across the world. In 2022, Brandon had the honor of setting off on a 17-show tour with Tim McGraw across the United States from April-June. This local Chattanooga boy is quickly making a name for himself and puts on a show you won’t want to miss!
Saturday
Saturday will feature another fan-favorite country artist that attendees will certainly enjoy. Michael Ray (8:30 p.m.–10 p.m.) will headline the night alongside special guest Avery Anna (7 p.m.–8 p.m.). Here is what Discover Downtown Petersburg said about Ray:
Forged on the small stages of Florida’s rural communities, Michael Ray has created an impressive foundation. With four No. 1 songs including RIAA Platinum-certified “Think a Little Less,” RIAA Platinum-certified “Whiskey and Rain,” RIAA Gold-certified “Kiss You in the Morning,” RIAA Gold-certified “One That Got Away”–plus “Get to You” and “Her World or Mine” brings his tally to four RIAA Gold-certified singles. He has garnered over 2Billion global streams, over 650,000 album equivalents and over 150 million YouTube views, he is a true country star who’s performed at the Grand Ole Opry 73 times.
Ray is also the ex-husband of Carly Pearce and and the subject of her hit, What He Didn’t Do.

Here is what Discover Downtown Petersburg said about Anna:

In addition to reaching No. 1 on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown, the viral smash earned a spot alongside today’s biggest pop songs on SiriusXM Hits 1 and has topped 160 million global streams. Avery was selected as a 2023 Amazon Music Breakthrough Artist to Watch, a CMT Next Woman of Country 2023, a 2023 Pandora Artist to Watch, a 2023 Spotify Hot Country Artist to Watch and a 2022 YouTube Artist on the Rise.
