WARNING: Kentucky City One of the Most Dangerous to Drive in the Country
One Kentucky city found itself among the top ten worst cities for driving in the country. Chances are, you probably know which one it is.
While Kentucky is full of roads that offer great scenery and make for a great Sunday drive, we also have a few sketchy roads throughout the state too. Whether they are very narrow, curvy, crowded with other drivers, or just full of potholes, I'm sure we can all think of a few roads that we tend to try to avoid. Furthermore, there are a few cities in the state where driving is much more hectic. As it turns out, one of those cities actually landed on a recent report of the most dangerous cities in the country for driving.
Which Kentucky City is Among the Most Dangerous Cities for Driving?
The website Travel A Lot recently found the most dangerous cities to drive in the entire country. Whether drivers are grappling with alcohol-related incidents or commuters making the most of poor infrastructure, there are several reasons why driving is dangerous in these cities. As it turns out, one Kentucky city made the cut. It will most likely not come as much of a surprise to you that it was Louisville.
Here's what Travel A Lot said about Louisville:
Louisville, Kentucky, grapples with a surge in fatal accidents attributed to factors such as excessive speeding and a lack of stringent traffic regulations. The city's topography and road conditions also contribute to a higher likelihood of collisions.
Insufficient public transportation options further intensify the dependence on personal vehicles, heightening the risks associated with driving in Louisville. The more people who are forced to drive, the more roadways are will be crowded and clogged.
If I am being honest, I was not too surprised to find Louisville, Kentucky on the list. While I love visiting Louisville, I have always dreaded driving in the city. Whether it be because of congested driving, aggressive drivers, or the abundance of construction, I have never been a fan of being behind the wheel in Louisville. What did surprise me though, is how high Louisville ranked among the list of most dangerous cities for driving.
