Tri-State Phone Scam

Indiana State along with the Vincennes City Police are warning residents of a possible phone scam in the area.

Both agencies are investigating several complaints from residents in where a person identifying themselves as a State police officer asks for donations to be used to help buy coats for children,

At this point in time, the Indiana State Police are NOT attempting to raise money to buy coats for kids. If you received a phone call please contact the Indiana State Police or the Vincennes City Police Department.

Also, make sure to use caution when making donations over the phone.
