Football in America has never been more popular than it is right now, especially with women. The female fanbase for football has grown tremendously over the last several years and is now at an all time high. Women are also buying more jerseys than ever and in some cases, sales to women are outpacing jerseys bought by males. Dick's Sporting Goods recently put out a list of the top selling jerseys with women and they also broke it down by state.

In California, 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is tops with the ladies. In Texas, the ladies buy Cowboys tight end Jason Witten's jersey more than any other, Payton Manning is the top seller in Colorado and Drew Brees is king in Louisiana.

The top selling female jersey in America belongs to none other than Andrew Luck of our very own Indianapolis Colts, which I think is a huge surprise. I would have guessed Payton Manning or Aaron Rodgers. I am also surprised that in Texas, Jason Witten outsells Tony Romo with women. Luck is also number one in Indiana....duh! It has to be that rugged bearded look Luck sports.

So apparently, Andrew Luck's got game both on and off the field...at least according to the women.
