Not a day goes by that I don't feel completely guilty about putting my kids through a divorce. It is a constant struggle, especially since taking custody of my sons last December. I watch them deal with the fallout every day and sometimes, it tears me up.

I lost my mother last month and I am still having a hard time reconciling the loss. I hope she knew how much I loved her and how much she meant to my life and the person I am. I find myself wishing I could have done more to give back to her, if only a small portion of what she gave me and my siblings for so long.

Thanks to Facebook and YouTube, there is no shortage of videos posted by people showing their children doing what they do best.....being children. We didn't have video when I was a kid, but that didn't stop my dad from trying to capture great moments with his trusty Polaroid.

I don't want to sound sappy, but this might be one of the most beautiful moments ever caught on video between a father and son. Sometimes I think as parents, we fall a little short in showing our kids how proud we are of their accomplishments, especially in school and when they might be struggling a bit. The kid in the below video is a student in England and really struggles in school.

There is no greater gift than the opportunity to give back to your parents for everything they have done and sacrificed for us. This video is a great example of how powerful that can be. Brian's dad is a lifelong Cincinnati Bengals fan, but has never been to any NFL game, let alone a Bengals game. Brian changed that.

We have seen a lot of these videos, but as a dad myself, this one is something special. I cannot imagine ever being in a position to miss all of my kids' events and activities. Army SSgt. Brandon Pickett knows that feeling all too well. Pickett was on his third and final deployment.

The Telus company recently asked their Facebook fans a very simple question: If you could give anything to anyone, what would you give? They received many responses and most were very touching. They even decided to make a few of those come true, but one response stood out above the rest.

Last week, I was on vacation at Surfside Beach, South Carolina.
