It's so easy to take your home state for granted, but sometimes viewing it through another lens can change your perspective.

Finding Beauty in Your Own Backyard

When you think of scenic places, Kentucky may not immediately come to mind, but if you take a step back and look, there are some truly stunning places around the Bluegrass State. It can be so easy to forget to look for the beauty in your own backyard when you see it every day.  But between Mammoth Cave National Park, the Red River Gorge, and the rolling hills on Kentucky, if you look around, you'll see some pretty incredible scenery.

Stunning Photos You Won't Believe Were Taken in Kentucky

I can't remember what I was looking for, but I was searching for something online and came across a photo of Natural Arch Scenic Area in Kentucky, and it looked like something from across the country, and not like something you'd find in the Bluegrass State.

It made me wonder about other gorgeous landscapes in Kentucky, so I went to Unsplash and did a photo search for Kentucky, and the photos that popped up were breathtaking.  I love getting to see a state that I visit all the time highlighted in a different light.  I may not be a Kentuckian myself, but I'm pretty close! Just across the river from the Bluegrass State, so I feel like Kentucky is almost like my second home.
