This cute little set-up has a very Mr. Rogers feel to it. The train trolley stops at your table, and the 'King' looks a lot like King Friday. Perhaps that's what inspired this novelty. You'll only find this feature at the New Albany, Indiana location.

Either way, I think it's super cool. Ironically, we used to live in that area, and I have never been there. Oh, and a confession...I've never tried Pizza King. Perhaps it's time to get out of my food comfort zone, but only if it's delivered to me by a choo-choo train.

Pizza King's History

The history of Pizza King is pretty interesting. Even though there are many locations, each one is different. Unlike a typical franchise, owners are free to do pretty much anything they want with their shop with one exception: They must get all of their food supplies from the same supplier.

There's many places to grab a delicious pizza in Evansville, here's where you can grab a 'za from a locally owned shop!

Gaslight In Huntingburg A Hidden Pizza Bar & Grill Heaven

My very favorite restaurants in the world are hometown hole-in-the-wall joints that have the most delicious food ever. Gaslight Pizza & Grill fits the bill to a tee. Their food is better than any I have tasted for miles in the Tristate.

The Biggest Pizza in Owensboro, KY

Y Not Pizza and Wings on 4th Street in Owensboro serves a 30-inch pizza. If you want to order one, you have to give the restaurant 24-hours notice so they can prepare the dough. Here are some behind-the-scenes pics of one being made.
