Six Flags St. Louis Is Bringing Back The $600 Coffin Challenge
Do you have what it takes to spend 30 hours in a coffin?
Six Flags St. Louis is bringing back the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge during their annual Fright Fest, and this year, "the stakes are higher, rules are tougher, challenges harder and the coffin lid is full and closed, with only a small opening for participants face." If you can lay in a coffin for 30 hours straight, you have the chance to win $600!
Six Flags will select six people at random to spend 30 hours in a coffin, from 11:30 am on Saturday, October 5 until 5:30 pm on Sunday October 6. This sounds like the perfect contest for those who need to catch up on their sleep. However, if you're claustrophobic, you probably want to pass.
Now you might be wondering how someone could lay in a coffin for 30 hours straight and not go to the bathroom? That was my first thought too. Have no fear though, Six Flags isn't that mean, they will have designated bathroom breaks. According to Six Flags St. Louis:
This year’s Coffin Dwellers will receive a 13-minute bathroom and phone break every three hours and must complete 4 out of 6 cringe-worthy challenges to earn points and remain a Coffin Dweller.
Six Flags St. Louis has thought of just about everything with the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge. They will feed you breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in "bed" or coffin. Not only that, but you will be able to bring your cell phone to keep you company. There will be phone charging stations for use within the coffin so you don't have to worry about a dead battery and no form of entertainment. You will, however, need to bring your own pillow and blanket to use inside of the coffin.
So what do you get if you make it the full 30 hours? The winner of the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge will receive:
- $600
- 2 2020 Gold Season passes
- Two Express Haunted House Passes
- 1 slightly used Coffin
- $400 Dunkin' Gift Certificate
- 2 Nights of hotel accommodations at a Drury Hotel property in St. Louis, MO
You get to keep your coffin? That should save you and your family some money down the road on funeral expenses, right? Oh, I should also mention that if you don't win, you won't be walking away empty handed. All other participants remaining will receive:
- 2 2020 Gold Season passes
- 1 slightly used Coffin
- 2 Nights of hotel accommodations at a Drury Hotel property in St. Louis, MO
Six Flags St. Louis is only a short drive away from the Tri-State, so do you think you have what it takes to win this challenge? If you do, or know someone who does, you can find out all of the contest information and even how to register to be a contestant below.
