Play Soccer with Kentucky Wesleyan College Lady Panthers!
Fun fact! I grew up playing soccer from 2nd to 9th grade until I learned that you didn't have to do Summer conditioning to be a Rose Curtain Player! I LOVED playing and have great memories with the amazing teammates I met throughout the years. However, I am still scarred for life from the sprinting exercises Jamie Duvall made us do every practice when he coached for OHS in the early 2000s.
Duvall recently retired after 12 years as head coach of the Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team. Now at the helm is KWC alum Ty Stauffer known for his success as a student-athlete as well as being the first coach for the women's soccer team in 1993. His experience and passion for the sport mean he is hitting the ground running!

Stauffer is also the owner and director of SportsTutor. Which, if you have a kiddo in the local sports world, I'm sure you already knew that! I have heard GREAT things about how they help athletes improve their game. Speaking of, do you know any kiddos who love to play soccer? Well, the Kentucky Wesleyan College women’s soccer team is hosting a youth soccer camp this summer for incoming 1st - 5th graders!
KWC has an amazing crew of athletes and coaching staff who will work with the young players on various skills and techniques. Focusing on fundamentals, such as ball manipulation, passing and receiving, and player movement, the activities can be adapted based on player ability and age so each camper experiences individualized training.
This 4-day camp will be an amazing opportunity for young soccer enthusiasts to work with a premier collegiate-level coach as Stauffer is a prominent figure in the region's soccer community. They'll also get to know the stars of the team! Those ladies are absolutely incredible athletes!
The dates are July 17th-20th that's a Monday-Thursday from 8:30-11:30 AM at Kentucky Wesleyan College on the game field. All kids will receive a T-shirt and popsicles!
