Picks & Clicks: Evansville Area Fun March 4-8
Looking for something fun to do this weekend in the Evansville area? Here are a few fun and unique ideas that are worth checking out!
Each week, I'll be bringing you my Picks and Clicks. These are fun events that will be happening in the Evansville area. That could include concerts, festivals, games, or other events going on throughout the week. Likewise, I might throw in some "clicks" along the way. When I say "clicks," I'm talking to the homebodies and folks who just might be interested in going out and about. The clicks might be shows or movies that are now streaming that I feel are worth watching. Some of them might not be streaming yet, but just came out in the theaters, so you can get your tickets online and "click" your way to the movies.
So, let's check out my Picks and Clicks for March 4th through 8th in the Evansville area!
Pick 1: Ohio Valley Basketball Championships
The 2026 Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) men's and women's basketball tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4th, through Saturday, March 7th, featuring the top eight men’s and women’s Division I teams in the league. This is the 9th year in a row that the OVC Basketball Championships have been held at the Ford Center here in Evansville. You can check out the brackets and learn more about the championships, plus how to get your tickets by clicking here.
Pick 2: Wessleman Woods 48th Annual Maple Sugarbush Festival
It's Wessleman Woods' biggest annual fundraiser: the Maple Sugarbush Festival and Pancake Breakfast! Enjoy fresh pancakes and Indiana syrup before wandering through the United States' largest urban old-growth forest. Here, you'll learn about maple tapping and its history, the science of sap, and how sap production is an important part of forest ecology. Learn more and get your tickets by clicking here.
Click: Bugonia on Peacock
This movie came out late last year, but I recently watched it on Peacock. I have to admit that it left me second-guessing myself a lot throughout the film. If you haven't seen it or heard of it, basically, Bugonia is about two conspiracy-obsessed men who kidnap this high-powered CEO of a major company. Why? Because they're convinced that she is an alien who is here to destroy Earth. It sounds a bit odd, but while watching the movie, I found myself wondering if these guys aren't crazy after all, and she actually is an alien. Well, to find out the answer to that question, you should check out Bugonia on Peacock.
