As you know, Santa Claus is coming to town. We're just over a month away from Christmas Day and there are all sorts of fun holiday activities lined up for kids here in Owensboro-Daviess County. The big guy is showing up around town a lot these days.

Among those special events he's rolling into town for is the Paint with Santa event at iArt Studios.

My friend Jeanette Noone and I go back years. We basically grew up together and she is one of my oldest friends for sure.  In fact, I have fond memories of riding around town with Jeanette in her cousin Julie's Pinto. Julie was a maniac behind the wheel and Jeanette and I sort of always feared for our lives. But, heck!  It was fun and we always had a ride- even if it was occasionally harrowing.

I have lots of fond memories of Jeanette. Another is the fact that she has always been a very talented artist.  She recently painted this piece and I claimed it.  I am obsessed with how unique and exotically beautiful she is.

Jeanette has always been in love with art and that love affair recently inspired her to purchase iArt Studios here in Owensboro to give herself the ability to share that love with others.

By the way, iArt Studios is situated behind Wesleyan Park Plaza at 603 Park Plaza Drive.

Look, this is a busy time of year for Jolly Old Saint Nick. There are plenty of places for kids around the tristate to go plop down on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas. There are some other specialty events too. For example, the Owensboro Convention Center hosts Breakfast with Santa annually and it's just around the corner as well.

But. this holiday season, iArt is doing something very special as well. Jeanette's hosting a series of Paint with Santa events.  And, yes!  Santa will be there for meet and greets and photos with your kids.

Here are the dates and full details!
