Alright, I admit it. I love Starbucks. It turns out, a lot of you do too and some of you seem to really love one particular Starbucks Secret Menu drink more than the rest.

Over the years my go-to Starbucks drink has changed and evolved. What started as an Iced Chai Latte eventually became a 'Dirty Chai' by adding in a shot of espresso at first and then eventually a double shot. Then over time, that became just an iced vanilla latte that then evolved into a Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato.

My love of iced coffee has at times bordered on budget-breaking so I've recently started making my own cold brew coffee in hopes of adding to my savings account but these days when I do splurge on Starbucks, well, let's just say I've upped my espresso game to a quad shot by ordering a Venti Shaken Espresso. If you like to have enough caffeine to cause your Spidey Senses to tingle, I recommend you give the Iced Shaken Espresso a try. It is made with four shots of espresso and you can find it on the regular Starbucks menu, although I do I typically order it without the 6 pumps of Starbucks Classic Syrup and add in 3 pumps of vanilla and 3 pumps of caramel.

Speaking of the menu, there is something known as the "Starbucks Secret Menu." Although admittedly, I don't think it's much of a secret anymore, especially considering a new study was released detailing the top favorite Secret Menu items from state to state. The folks over at Workshopedia used search data from Google Trends to determine which Starbucks Secret Menu item is most popular in every state in the US.

So which secret drinks reign supreme?  The Dragon Frappuccino is the third most popular in the country by being the favorite in three states (Alabama, Nevada & Oklahoma). Coming in as the #2 most popular secret menu item in the country is my old friend, the Dirty Chai. It's the favorite in six states (Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and North Carolina).

So what is the most popular drink on Starbucks Secret Menu? Most popular in 20 of the 50 states in the union... Drum roll, please... The famed Pink Drink leads the pack as the most popular secret menu item - in twenty states, including Indiana! Here are the states where Pink Drink tops the list,

  •  Arkansas
  • California
  • Connecticut
  • Deleware
  • District of Columbia
  • Hawaii

  • Maine
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • New Hampshire
  • New Mexico
  • North Dakota

As for the rest of the Tri-state area, Kentucky's top favorite is the Birthday Cake Frappuccino, and in Illinois, the S'Mores Frappuccino. Don't see your state? Check out the full list, complete with infographics by visiting Workshopedia.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
