Neutrogena Recalls Light Therapy Mask Due to Risk of Eye Injury
Another product issue has been recalled due to concerns over the health of users...although this one seems to affect a small percentage of the public.
The product being recalled is the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask and Activator. It's a mask that uses light therapy to help clear up breakouts, and to actually target the bacteria that causes acne.
Neutrogena released a statement about the recall, saying "For a small subset of the population with certain underlying eye conditions, as well as for users taking medications which could enhance ocular photosensitivity, there is a theoretical risk of eye injury."
The masks have been pulled from wholesalers and retail stores. If you have the mask, and you experience any visual discomfort or side effects, you should stop using it contact your doctor. If you have any questions, call the Neutrogena Consumer Care line at 1-800-582-4048.
