What Is The Cash Cow?

Why Are We Naming The Cash Cow?

We're well aware of the cliche of having a cash giveaway on a country station and sticking a cow on it for, ya know, country purposes. So why wouldn't we embrace it? I grew up in a subdivision in Newburgh, far from the country, but I still know how to lift a horse's foot, ride bareback, milk a cow, and line dance. You don't have to live in the country to embrace country life (although you may want to find those country friends in low places before trying to lift a bale of hay). In today's world, if you know every word to at least three country classic songs, I'd let you in my country club. What's my country club? The one with the cow on it, of course. There is absolutely no purpose in naming the cash cow other than to give everyone a chance to have some fun with us. We'll use her name proudly and with respect, each and every time I "moo" on air. Personally, I think Travis hopes this will keep me from mooing. I make no promises.
