Kristin Chenoweth Collaborates with Reba, Dolly on New Album

If you've never heard Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth sing, you're missing out. But there's a good chance you have and didn't realize it. Hailing from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Chenoweth's musical background led her to the theater and eventually, TV and movies. She just released her seventh studio album For the Girls and she's got some big names singing with her.

The album includes female-focused anthems and love songs. I first heard about the project when the actress announced she would be dueting with Dolly Parton on Parton's incomparable "I Will Always Love You".

Then Chad alerted me to another track on the album, the Peggy Lee classic "I'm a Woman" where Chenoweth teams up with actress/singer Jennifer Hudson and fellow Oklahoma native Reba McEntire.

Chenoweth will be featured on the upcoming annual CMA Country Christmas special on ABC along with Chris Young, Tori Kelly, Lady Antebellum, For King & Country, Cece Winans, Rascal Flatts, and Chris Janson. Trisha Yearwood will host the event for the first time. An airdate has not been announced yet. The special was taped last week in Nashville.
