Kentucky Goodwill Stores Will Not Accept These Specific Items
Donating unwanted items to Goodwill is a great way to donate to a good cause and make space in your home. Unfortunately, there are things they can't use. Here's a list of items they wish you wouldn't donate.
ITEMS GOODWILL WON'T ACCEPT
Sometimes the nature or condition of items, or something doesn't meet safety standards is a reason your donated items won't be accepted at Goodwill. When they receive items that cannot be sold, staff must dispose of them which takes a lot of time and space. With that being said, here's a list of items that are NOT accepted.
Any items that are ripped torn or stained.
Documents containing personal information, including bank statements, passports, checkbooks, medical histories and other, similar materials.
Used tires
Hot water heaters
Furnaces
Carpeting and padding
Mattresses, bed springs, sofa beds, hospital beds
Cribs and carseats
Household trash and garbage
Scrap lumber, concrete, bricks, stones
Air conditioners
Firearms
Paint, household chemicals, insecticides, etc.
Food items
Large commercial desks
Cubicles
Entertainment Centers
Televisions
