One Kentucky city found itself among the top ten worst cities for driving in the country. Chances are, you probably know which one it is.

While Kentucky is full of roads that offer great scenery and make for a great Sunday drive, we also have a few sketchy roads throughout the state too. Whether they are very narrow, curvy, crowded with other drivers, or just full of potholes, I'm sure we can all think of a few roads that we tend to try to avoid. Furthermore, there are a few cities in the state where driving is much more hectic. As it turns out, one of those cities actually landed on a recent report of the most dangerous cities in the country for driving.

Which Kentucky City is Among the Most Dangerous Cities for Driving?

U.S. News & World Report recently released a study of the 50 largest U.S. cities to determine which are the safest and riskiest for drivers. According to U.S. News & World Report:

It also looked at the number of people per capita involved in fatal crashes in each city during that same time frame.</p></div><div class="Raw-slyvem-0 bCYKCn"><p>In addition, it examined the average fatality rate per miles traveled in each state from 2019 to 2021; the number of DUI arrests per capita in each state from 2017 to 2019; and the rate of auto thefts from 2019 through 2021.</p></div>

If I am being honest, I was not too surprised to find Louisville, Kentucky on the list. While I love visiting Louisville, I have always dreaded driving in the city. Whether it be because of congested driving, aggressive drivers, or the abundance of construction, I have never been a fan of being behind the wheel in Louisville. What did surprise me though, is how high Louisville ranked among the list of most dangerous cities for driving.

Louisville ranked as the fourth most dangerous city for driving, according to U.S. News & World Report. The city ranked higher than other major cities like New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Nashville, and Los Angeles. The study also found that Louisville came in at number two in terms of the highest fatality rates. That's not very encouraging for residents or those who will be passing through Louisville.
