The Story Behind The Pete Dye Course

If you’ve ever played the Pete Dye Course, you know it’s not your average day on the links. It’s nicknamed the “napkin course” because legendary architect Pete Dye first sketched the design on the back of a cocktail napkin. Fast forward to 2009, and that vision became a championship-level course known for its dramatic elevation changes, narrow fairways, and rugged terrain. It’s challenging. It’s stunning. And it’s absolutely unforgettable.

Keep in mind, this isn’t just a statewide showdown. The Pete Dye Course is going up against top public courses from across the entire country. We’re talking serious competition. That’s exactly why we need Hoosiers – especially those of us here in Southern Indiana – to rally behind this hometown gem.
