A new study has found the most boring cities in the United States, and one surprising Indiana city is among the top.

When it comes to Indiana, there really is a lot to see and do throughout the state. Indiana is full of fun attractions. Whether it be museums, theme parks, sports venues, historical locations, or being out on a beautiful lake, the Hoosier State has a lot to offer residents and guests alike. There are always things that pop up in the state throughout the year that can be fun, too. We all have our favorite attractions to visit in the state.

That being said, you'll still have many Hoosiers say things like "There's nothing to do here," and that Indiana can be boring. While I disagree with that, the term "boring" can mean something different to every traveler. What is exciting to one person might be a complete bore to someone else. There's a reason why there are so many possibilities when it comes to tourist attractions. Even saying that, apparently, Indiana is home to one of the most boring cities in America.

The Most Boring Cities in America

Recently, FinanceBuzz has been making the news for ranking the most boring cities in the country. The scoring criteria included factors such as population makeup, culinary scene, access to outdoor adventures, nightlife, and recreational activities. The “Top 10 Most Boring Cities” include...

  5. Memphis, Tennessee
  6. San Antonio, Texas
  7. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

However, right outside that top ten, you will find one Indiana city that might surprise you because, of all cities in Indiana, this one might have the most to see and do in the area.

Indiana City Among the Most Boring in the Country

According to the list from FinanceBuzz, Indianapolis is the 16th most boring city in America. What?! Indy boring?!

Look, of all places in Indiana, this has to be the least boring city. Furthermore, to rank cities across America, I don't understand how this is even in the top 20 most boring. Whether you are going to a Colts, Pacers, or Fever game, one of the many concerts at Gainbridge Field House or Lucas Oil Stadium, or any of the other events Indy has throughout the year, there's always something going on in Indianapolis. One of the best children's museums in the country is found here too, the Indianapolis Children's Museum. Plus, there's an event that happens each year that is the biggest race in motorsports. You might have heard of it...the Indianapolis 500!

Oh, and if we are talking about the culinary scene, I don't know how many times I have seen Indianapolis restaurants featured on "best____ in every state" lists. The food all around Indianapolis is amazing! Not to mention a little place called St. Elmo's Steakhouse.

Again, I was very surprised to see these cities on a list like this. What about you? I find it hard to believe that Indianapolis is "boring." There's so much to see and do there, and my argument above didn't even cover the half of it!
