I'm not going to lie, this really caught me by surprise. I don't think you'll believe the Indiana location that's among America's most terrifying places.

When it comes to terrifying places in Indiana, we have quite a few of them. I'm talking about places with dark histories that give you goosebumps just hearing about them. Many of these places have been said to be haunted. Recently, we've discovered the most haunted house in Indiana, the most haunted restaurant in Indiana, the creepiest haunted library in Indiana, and the urban legend of a haunted cemetery found in Indiana. However, one website recently listed the most terrifying places in America, and one unexpected location in Indiana made the list. Chances are, you'd never guess which one.

This Indiana Location is Among America's Most Terrifying

According to a list compiled by LoveExploring, Indiana University in Bloomington is among the most terrifying locations in the entire country. See...I told you that you wouldn't expect it. When I saw this, I was wondering what makes it so terrifying, aside from the student loan debt that one might accrue while enrolled there. However, as it turns out, IU has some paranormal activity of its own.
