Indiana Shelter Cat Ready to Work 9 to 5 and Always Love You

Usually, "cat season" kicks off in the early spring as expecting cat mothers begin to give birth to their litter of kittens. After a few months of being overwhelmed with the amount of cats that show up at their door, things eventually slow down a bit at the Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS). That's not been the case this year. The shelter is overrun with cats at both its location on the north side of Evansville off First Avenue and at River Kitty Cat Cafe on the Main Street Walkway downtown which means finding homes for them is critical not only because space is needed for new animals coming in, but for the animals themselves who deserve the chance to be part of a loving family. Our Pet of the Week this week is one of those cats. Meet Dolly.

Dolly's Story

If you're looking for a pet that will "always love you" and will work "from 9 to 5" to make you smile, look no further than 6-month-old Miss Dolly. Whether or not she's named after the country music icon is unknown, but what we do know is that she loves to gently perch on your shoulder and would make an excellent adventure cat (with a harness and leash, of course.)

Her adoption fee is $80 and covers everything all the adoption fees at the VHS cover; her spay, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines.
