Meet Marvin, our Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society.

Marvin's Story

Marvin's story is one of transformation. According to the VHS, the roughly 5-year-old showed up on their doorstep "super sick and uncared for." His coat was stained and he was stressed out. He was in such bad shape, a few employees at the shelter let him live in their office for a few weeks while he recovered. Fast-forward to a month later and Marvin is healthy, happy, fun-loving, and ready to find his forever family. With that said, there is one catch if you want to adopt him — you can't have any dogs in your home. He is not a fan. He's also a little skittish around other cats, but the staff at the VHS feel that with a "proper introduction" Marvin will eventually warm up to them.

His adoption fee is $80 and includes everything all adoption fees at the VHS include, his neutering, microchipping, and vaccinations. All of which would be way more expensive if you paid for them individually.

If you're interested in Marvin or any of the other animals up for adoption at the Vanderburgh Humane Society, get a jump on the adoption process by filling out some of the paperwork in advance on the VHS website.
