The Bottleworks Hotel in Indianapolis was named the best place to stay in 2023 according to Yelp. Now, this hotel has quite a history. This historic building on Massachusetts Avenue was built in the 1920s and was the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Indianapolis. In 1949, it became the largest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the world. According to its website, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Indianapolis filled its last glass bottle in 1964 when the plant moved to Speedway, Indiana. Beginning in 1971, the building housed the IPS Service Center until 2016. Back in 2017, Hendricks Commercial Properties has begun repurposing the site into a center for commerce, history, and arts. The area has become known as the Bottleworks District. The old Coca-Cola building was later repurposed as the Bottleworks Hotel.
