He comes from a town with a population of less than 5,000 people, but beginning February 8th, Indiana native, Nick Goepper, will ski for gold in front of thousands in attendance and millions watching around the world when the 2018 Winter Olympics get underway in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Goepper was born, raised, and still lives in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. A small town roughly 40 minutes west of Cincinnati in the southeastern corner of the state where the borders of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio meet. He's no stranger to the Olympics, having competed in the 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia where he brought home a bronze medal.

Nick has also found success competing in the Winter X Games where he's won three golds and two silvers since 2012.

Learn more about how Nick found skiing, and how he's overcome a "post-Olympic hangover" in this profile video from the X Games YouTube channel.

Best of luck Nick! Regardless what happens in PyeongChang, we Hoosiers back here in Indiana will be cheering you on!
