If You Are Having Fall Fest Withdrawals, Make Fried Oreos At Home
Once the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is over, we all go through a period of deep fried recovery. But, it doesn't take long to start craving all of the deep fried goodies all over again. Or, maybe you just want to eat your way through your sorrows since you didn't win the Half Pot. LOL
Either way, I have decided that I am going to try and seek out some of the recipes for some our favorite yummy's so we can make them all year long. Let's start with Deep Fried Oreos.
If you want to make them from scratch, here is what you need to do.
Here's an even quicker way to make them. Thanks to my friend, Julie, who makes these for her kids all the time, we can all make them now.
Get a can, or two, of Pillsbury Cresent Rolls, a package of Oreos, powdered sugar and some baking sheets. Preheat over to 350. Take a crescent roll triangle and put an Oreo cookie in the center and wrap the entire cookie. Place the wrapped cookies on the baking sheet covered baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes. Let cool and cover with powdered sugar.
BTW - You can fill it with whatever you like, fun size Snickers, Reese's Cup, really any candy bar or cookie, even cookie dough
Now, enjoy.
