As a father, there is nothing that I wouldn't do for my children. Especially if they are sick. It's our number one priority as parents, to protect our kids and keep them safe from all the dangers the world has to offer. Unfortunately, sometimes there are only so many things a parent can do. For some parents, there's one thing they can't protect their kids from regardless of what measures they take — cancer. Once they hear they hear the words, "Your child has cancer," their whole world changes and their top priority becomes helping their child get better. I can't imagine that feeling. It makes me tear up just thinking about it. Fortunately, it's a battle they don't have to fight alone.
The staff at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee has one goal, and that's to do everything in their power to bring an end to childhood cancers and other life-threatening illnesses. This goal is something that they have gotten closer and closer to achieving since the facility opened its doors over 60 years ago in 1962. Over the course of those six decades, they've made unbelievable strides in understanding how a variety of different cancers behave and how to treat them, saving the lives of countless children along the way.

Even more incredible, is the fact that no family whose child is receiving treatment from St. Jude, either at the campus in Memphis or remotely, ever receives a bill from St. Jude for the care they receive. That's right, families aren't charged a single dime from St. Jude. That allows those parents to concentrate all their focus on helping their child get better.
The great news about St. Jude doesn't end there though. All the research and treatment protocols St. Jude creates are shared freely with other treatment facilities around the world because St. Jude's top priority is bringing an end to all childhood cancers. St. Jude is leading the way in saving lives and finding cures, but none of this would be possible without the generous support from folks like you by becoming a Partner in Hope during our annual St. Jude Radiothon with Hyundai of Evansville.
