If you're looking for a new furry member to add to your family, or you're living the single life and you need a new best friend because you're over people, let me introduce you to our Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS). Meet Nova.

Nova's Story

Nova is a 6-year-old cattle dog mix who can be a little reserved when it comes to showing off her personality. According to the VHS, she presents herself as very shy and fearful when she's in her kennel. However, get her with some friendly humans that she’s familiar with and she’s a happy, zoomie girl as you can see in the video above.

Normally, her adoption fee would be $150. But, thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation and its Empty the Shelters event, you can take Nova home for only $25! And the best part? That discounted fee still covers the cost of her spaying, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccines. But there is one catch — the Empty the Shelters event ends THIS SATURDAY (December 16th), so you don't have much time left to get her or any of the animals the VHS has to offer for the discounted price.

If you'd like to get an early start on the adoption process for Nova, or any other animal at the VHS, head over to the VHS website.
