Experts Say This is the Best Grocery Store in Indiana
If you need to stock up on groceries, apparently this is the best place to do so in Indiana.
I don't know about you, but one of my least favorite things to do as an adult is to go grocery shopping. It costs so much to get so little nowadays. I'm sure you'll agree that when you go to the checkout to purchase your groceries, you are always shocked by the fact that you spent a whole lot of money even though your cart isn't even half full. Oh, and don't even get me started on the price of groceries in a full cart.
We all have our favorite grocery stores to shop at though. These are the ones that we feel give us the best bang for our buck. I enjoy places like Ruler Foods because I really can tell the difference in price at checkout compared to something like Walmart. That being said, there are all kinds of grocery stores across the state of Indiana that pride themselves in their lower prices.
Is this the Best Grocery Store in Indiana?
Recently, one website found the best grocery store in each state. The Daily Meal compiled data from grocery stores in each state. Here's how they did it:

We evaluated these grocery stores using strict criteria: stock (the range of brands and offerings); innovation (delivery, mobile apps, etc.); value; and contribution to the community.

Of course, in many instances, a great supermarket chain has locations in many states. In order to give the smaller, more homegrown chains their fair shake, each chain only appears on our list once. We gave preference to smaller local chains that were founded in or are headquartered in the state and have become a beloved part of the local community. In certain cases, however, the big chain is indeed the best supermarket in the state, even if its origins are further afield.

So, when it comes to Indiana, what is the best grocery store in the state? The Daily Meal says that it is Saraga International Grocery. This grocery store has a location in Indianapolis, Castleton and another in Greenwood. Here's what they had to say about this store:
Globe-trotting grocer Saraga International Grocery stocks all the staples including meat, fish, poultry, and produce along with halal meat and a wide variety of African, Chinese, European, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, and South American foods. Shoppers can expand their culinary horizons with a visit to the 62,000-square-foot shop in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a second location in Greenwood. Oh, and hidden inside the Indianapolis location is the tiny Asian Snack, one of the best Chinese restaurants in the country.
While the store does look like it has a lot to offer, this isn't really what I expected. As a consumer, I figured it would have been a grocery store with the best prices, items in stock, and customer service. Something like a hometown store. That being said, I have never been to Saraga, so I can't really speak on prices and items in stock. But if these experts say that this is the best grocery store in Indiana, there has to be something there!
What do you think? Would this be your pick for the best grocery store in Indiana?
