Domino’s Pizza Set to Open New Location in Princeton Indiana
When I was in college, it's safe to say my roommate, Jesse, and I helped keep our local Domino's Pizza in business. We both went to classes during the day and worked at night, so we wouldn't be home until about 11 p.m. most days. Going to college in a small town, the only place to get a bite to eat that late was Denny's, Taco Bell, and a handful of burger joints. However, we were pretty tired by that time of day, so we would usually order pizza for delivery, and Domino's was our go-to place. In fact, our kitchen was so littered with pizza boxes that we had to move a stack or two just to access the refrigerator and microwave.
I recently moved home to rejoin my fellow Hoosier friends and family and currently reside in Gibson County, Indiana. We have a great selection of local pizza places that I love to order from, but part of me still misses my 11 p.m. Domino's order. Maybe it's nostalgia? About a month ago, I was driving along West Broadway Street in Princeton and noticed a new building going up, but I couldn't quite tell what it was. However, this past weekend, I saw the blue and red signage and got excited as the town would soon be home to a brand new Domino's Pizza.
The famous pizza company has been around since 1960, and according to Statista, it had 6,566 locations operating in the United States as of late 2023. That's an increase of 166 restaurants over the previous year. Domino's Pizza now adds another to the list, with plans to set up shop at 910 W. Broadway St. in Princeton. The company already has jobs posted on Indeed, from assistant manager to customer service representative. Opening day is set for Monday, May 13, 2024.
My regular order at Domino's is usually a pan-crust pizza with barbecue sauce, regular cheese, bacon, and onions. While I won't be ordering stacks upon stacks like I did many years ago, I do plan to place an order on the app as soon as the building gets up and running. Luckily, if I order one pizza too many, a YMCA is currently under construction in Princeton as well, so I'll have a place to work off the carbs.
