It takes a certain degree of, let's say, brashness to take something that doesn't belong to you. To do it in broad daylight at a business is on a whole new level.

That's exactly what happened over the weekend at the PhoneTodd location on South Green River Road in Evansville when a man swiped the tip jar off the counter. As you can see in the surveillance video above posted by employee, Josh Dodson, the suspect walks in, looks around, doesn't see anyone, and decides he's going to help himself to the extra money the employees have worked so hard to earn.

Fortunately the video quality is great (the bright sunshine doesn't hurt), so you get a really good look at the dude's face as he turns to leave the store.

Dodson shared the video with Evansville Watch, saying he's already notified Evansville Police. If you have any info on who this man is and where authorities can find him, contact the EPD Tip Line at (812) 435-6194, or the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's anonymous WeTip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463).
