Deaf Mom Hears Her Son’s Voice for the First Time

Amy is a 26-year-old mom who has been deaf since birth. Amy has never heard her own voice, let alone the voice of her parents or her six-year-old son, Blake. Thanks to some new technology, that is about to change for Amy. In this video, Amy gets a very emotional awakening as she hears her dad's voice for the first time then, she hears her son say "Hi Mom".

Amy continues to work very hard on her speech and her understanding of sound and words. Her pronunciation is getting better every day and she can hear actual words, but her favorite is music.
