CMT Music Awards: Social Superstar Award

The CMT Music Awards previously announced that we were going have a new category and now we know what that category is.  It's called the Social Superstar Award, and it honors the acts who use social media to stay connected with their fans. The cool thing about this awardd is that you, the fans get to vote on this via social media!

Now, they've already pre-selected these six nominees:  Kelsea Ballerini, Brett Eldredge, Lindsay Ell, Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett, and Blake Shelton.

You can vote on Instagram and Twitter by using the hashtag #CMTawards . . . PLUS the hashtag for your favorite artist . . . as in #VoteBlake, #VoteBrett, #VoteJake, #VoteKelsea, #VoteLindsay or #VoteThomas.

You have until Monday at midnight to cast your vote.  The show airs two days later, which is next Wednesday, June 8th.
