Carrie Underwood’s Pregnancy Insomnia Caused Crazy Online Shopping
Carrie Underwood couldn't sleep last night, so she spent some time shopping online — and it got a little out of hand.
Underwood was online at 4:29AM on Friday (Dec. 21), and she tweeted her frustration at being awake when she didn't want to be.
"Dear pregnancy insomnia," she began. "Please go bother someone else...like dads. Go bother dads. My husband sleeps so soundly and peacefully and I’ve been awake for 2 hours (so far). How is this fair? Imma lose my mind!"

The "Love Wins" singer was back at the keyboard just after 9AM, this time sheepishly revealing how much she ended up spending during her late night/early morning shopping spree.
"Worst part about insomnia = waking up this morning to see what I bought online while I was up. I just realized I spent over $600 on make up," she wrote, adding a facepalming emoji and the hashtags #SeemedLikeAGoodIdeaAtTheTime #HelpMe #TakeAwayMyShoppingApps and #ButThereWasASale.
Reactions from fans included several puns referencing her music, including a Twitter user who asked her, "Is this why you always cry pretty?" and another who wrote, "Jesus take the phone?"
"Rich" singer Maren Morris also replied to Underwood's tweet, writing, "I do that without insomnia so what’s my excuse?" along with the hashtag #SephoraHolic.
Underwood and husband Mike Fisher welcomed their first son, Isaiah, in February of 2015. The singer announced she was expecting again in a video she shared to social media on Aug. 8, and she revealed during the CMA Awards broadcast in November that the couple are expecting another boy.
Underwood released a new album, Cry Pretty, in September. She will hit the road for her Cry Pretty Tour 360 in May, just months after she gives birth ... and she'll evidently have plenty of makeup to take on the road.
