Tis the season of closing businesses, I suppose.

A popular restaurant on Evansville's eastside has closed its doors for good. Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar posted a sign on the door Tuesday that announced its immediate and indefinite closure.

The note reads: TO OUR LOYAL GUESTS AND EVANSVILLE FAMILY, WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT BOSTON'S HAS CLOSED. WE WISH TO THANK YOU FOR MANY YEARS OF WONDERFUL MEMORIES, FOOD, AND FUN. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO EACH OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FRIENDSHIP. WE WISH YOU HEALTH, HAPPINESS, AND SUCCESS.

According to Tristate Homepage, all Boston's restaurants are locally owned and operated. Apparently the Evansville location wasn't checking the box.
