Beach In Indiana Will Fulfill Your Ocean Dreams
This Summer, I have the perfect place for you to vacation and it's not that far away. After a long Winter, If you crave a sandy beach getaway, a beach in Indiana is sure to make you smile.
The beautiful dunes and beach are located in the Indiana Dunes State Park in northern Indiana. I remember going there as a child on our way to visit my family in Michigan. Having never been to the ocean, I thought THIS was the ocean, when in fact is was Lake Michigan. Being spoiled by the no salt water ocean (lake) I really had a hard time adjusting to the real ocean. Yuck. I'm telling you this Indiana Sate Park is amazing.
Located in Porter, IN Indiana Dunes State and National Parks, are just a about an hour away from Chicago. It would make for an awesome family weekend getaway or better yet, plan a week to two. At the moment, the beach is closed until May 1, 2020. But, you can still plan ahead for a trip that will help you relax and enjoy the beach on a budget.
