It's a new year and maybe a new you and you're thinking I have to get rid of all this stuff.  There are multiple organizations waiting for your items but here's what you need to know.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Many places have really started to evaluate what they can and can't take because of safety and health reasons.  There is not a place I know of that will take a used mattress.  With the rise in bed bugs across the United States this is a big NO-NO.  Another thing to consider don't take items that are broken or worn out.  The best rule of thumb is if you wouldn't give it to your Grandmother or still use it if you weren't purging then someone else probably doesn't want it either.
