The NHL's Boston Bruins recently invited the parents of Lt. Charles Jacobs to drop the first puck in honor of Veterans Day before the Bruins took on the Buffalo Sabres. Mr and Mrs. Jacobs were more than honored to drop the puck because their son was serving in Afghanistan, or so they thought. When it came time to drop the puck, the PA announcer had a special surprise for the Jacobs' when he asked the crowd to welcome their son to assist in the puck drop. Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs reacted exactly as you would expect, see for yourself.
