Jason Aldean vs. Lauren Alaina – The Showdown

Jason Aldean needs just one more win for his new song ‘Take a Little Ride’ to reach the Showdown Hall of Fame, but he’ll have to top a woman who has her own song enshrined in the noble halls. Last night on Taste of Country Nights radio, fans reaffirmed yesterday’s online voting to push the champion past ‘Crying on a Suitcase’ by Casey James. Can an17-year-old slow down Aldean’s train?
‘Eighteen Inches’ is the third single from Lauren Alaina‘s ‘Wildflower’ album. The song was co-written by the ‘American Idol’ runner-up’s idol, Carrie Underwood. It tells a touching story of young love and how we don’t always make the smartest decisions early in life, yet we somehow get through it.
Listen to clips of both Aldean’s and Alaina’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour online, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. Hear the full versions of the songs tonight after 10PM on Taste of Country Nights, and vote again by calling (888) 678-9995. You can listen to the show online through any of the 33 radio stations that carry it. Voting will end tonight at 10:40PM CT.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour. If a song wins five days in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.

Female Arm Wrestler Has a Scream That Will Scare the Pants Off of You
I am NOT athletic at all. So, my tactic to win or at least appear like some sort of competition to my opponent is to look the part or sound the part. This female arm wrestler must have taken a play right out of the Leslie Morgan play book. Rule number 1....make your bark SO big, they won't notice you have no bite!! ;-)
Her scream would scare even the biggest, toughest male arm wrestler!

‘Sad Cat Diary’ Offers Hilarious Insight Into the Mind of a Cat
As, you know, Jon refers to me as 'The Cat Lady' on the air. Just because I adopted my first cat a year ago and have since acquired 7 more, doesn't make me a cat lady. Or does it??? ;-) Ok, I know it would appear that I, if I'm not the cat lady NOW, I am well on my way. In the past year, I have become very in tune with cats and all of their personalities. Maybe that's why I love them so much and they, in turn, are drawn to me. lol
I found a video that gives a little insight to the mind of the sad cat (which is only ONE of their many personalities) Watch, learn and laugh!! It's seriously, hilarious!
