Country Whuppin’ – Lauren Alaina vs. Lonestar

Two big battles in a row last week first as Chris Cagle took down Brantley Gilbert before the time limit.  Too bad Brantley racked up well over 2000 vote after the polls closed.  Since then it's been a war between Cagle and Lauren Alaina, but Alaina was able to take the win on the Country Whuppin' brought to you by Cleaver's Prime Sandwiches and Salads.  Today she faces off with a reunited Lonestar and their new single.

Champion - Lauren Alaina "Eighteen Inches"

She may have finished second to Scotty McCreery on American Idol, but as her fans will tell you, she is number one in their hearts.  That's how she managed to become our second ever Hall of Fame member with her last single, Georgia Peaches.  This single quite a different song than the fun and upbeat, Peaches, we get the serious and touching, Eighteen Inches.

Challenger - Lonestar "The Countdown"

These guys have spent 20 years as one of the most successful bands in country music.  The last four years have been kind of strange without Lonestar music (or at least Lonestar as we remember) with Richie McDonald taking a hiatus from the band.  Now he's back on lead vocals and they have released a new single called The Countdown.
