Gabrielle Giffords Appears On House Floor To Vote On Debt Crisis Bill

Normally, we would not post political videos here because most of them are in no way compelling. This video however, is a little different because it shows true American spirit from an unlikely source. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords appeared on the floor for the first time since being shot in January to cast her vote on the debt crisis bill. This was quite a moment when you consider she is still recovering from the life threatening injuries she received in that shooting. Giffords said she felt compelled to return to cast her vote on the bill saying, "I had to be there for this vote. I could not take the chance that my absence could crash our economy." That is one politician who has our interest at heart despite her physical struggles. Whether you are a Republican or Democrat, you have to admire that kind of class. She received a much deserved rousing ovation from both sides of the aisle.
