Dolly is Donating $1000 a Month to Families Who Lost Everything [Video]

It's been heartbreaking watching the wildfires in Sevier County, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, TN.  Gatlinburg was the place my husband and I got married just 2 years ago in a beautiful little wedding chapel nestled in the mountains. It's been a special place for the both of us. It's an even more special place to Dolly Parton who grew up in that area.  And she is giving back in a great way. 

To those families who have lost everything in the wildfires, Dolly Parton has set up the "My People Fund".  [Watch]

In a statement issued by Dolly Parton: (edited)

"To aid in their recovery effort, the Dollywood Foundation will provide $1,000 a month to all of those families who lost their homes in the fires for six months so that they can get back on their feet."
