With the entire country trying to practice safe social distancing and a number of states issuing executive orders to stay at home and close non-essential businesses, musicians across the United States have found themselves with nowhere to perform and no income from their gigs. Many of those musicians are turning to social media and live streams as a platform to perform and even, for some, a means to generate some type of income during these difficult times. I wanted to create a schedule of those live performances in order to connect those of us that are practicing safe social distancing at home with those musicians who are looking for an audience to perform for. This list is by no means fully comprehensive but here are a number of bands and musicians that will be performing in the coming days.

Tom Small is a local one man acoustic singer/songwriter playing rock n roll from the likes of Bad Company and Tom Petty to Metallica, 3 Doors Down and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. He throws in some original songs too. He usually performs at Lyle's Sportszone every Tuesday night,  so to keep his loyal fans happy he is keeping up the tradition and will be streaming live on Facebook every Tuesday night at 6 pm cst. Tom will be able to accept tips via Paypal.

Megawave formed in 2014 in Seaford, NY by Michelle Turk on keytar, vocals and Andrew Stieglitz on guitar, Mike DiGiulio on bass, and Michael McCarthy on drums. The band has performed all over the northeast US. In July 2018, guitarist Andrew Stieglitz left the group, leaving Michelle Turk and her significant other, Mike DiGiulio as the songwriting team. Last summer, they self-released the single "Retrograde." Following the diagnosis of an autoimmune illness, singer-songwriter Michelle often connects with fans with empowering, passionate lyrics reflecting on disability and depression, while some how making it fun. Year-round, the group aims to lift spirits with music, connection and philanthropic works. The group performs every 'Megawednesday' on Youtube and Instagram Live.
