You Can’t See Me – Evansville Police Searching for Camouflaged Burglary Suspect
I've never committed a crime and have no intention to, so I don't know what goes into choosing what you're going to wear before heading out to do something illegal. Based on the numerous movies and TV shows I've watched over the years, and the handful of times my friends and I would go tee-pee someone's house, all black seems to be the logical choice. Especially if you plan on waiting until the middle of the night to commit your crime of choice. But, it's apparently not the only choice based on a photo shared of a burglary suspect recently shared by the Evansville Police Department.
Evansville Police Searching for Camouflage-Wearing Burglary Suspect
The Department shared the photo below Monday afternoon of a man they believe was involved in a burglary back on May 24th in the 700 block of East Tennessee Street on Evansville's north side just east of Stringtown Road. As you can see in the photo, the suspect chose to go with a ghillie suit as his crime-committing outfit of choice.
In case you don't know, a ghillie suit (pronounced: gil-ee) is an outfit featuring long strips of cloth, twine, or another material designed to make it look like foliage. In addition to being used by militaries around the world, it's a popular choice of camouflage for hunters looking to blend into their surroundings while hunting deer or other game.
The Department's post does not go into detail as to what was stolen, nor does it provide any additional details on the suspect outside of that he's a white male. While the surveillance photo isn't great, it does look like he also has a full beard and mustache.
If you have any information that may help investigators figure out who this person is and where they can find him (check the bushes, maybe?), contact the Evansville Police Department Adult Investigations Unit at 812-436-7977.
