Summer is pool time!!!!! We all remember, as kids, getting out of the pool after an all day swim fest with red, burning eyes. There were times that the chlorine smell was so bad that our eyes burned before we got into the water. Our parent's explained the smell and our eye redness and irritation by telling us that there must have been a lot of chlorine in pool.  Guess what? The chlorine has nothing to do with it!!

According to,

It's chlorine mixed with poop and sweat and a lot of other things we bring into the water with us.” In fact, Hlavsa said, the stronger the chlorine smell at a pool, the more filled with pee it is. Healthy pools don't smell like chemicals. Urine, not chlorine, causes eyes to burn and turn red while swimming. - Today Show

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They can't be serious!
