If you are a frequent shopper at TJ Maxx or any of its other affiliated stores, perhaps you have noticed different colored price tags. Do you know what each one means?

The older I have gotten, the more I like shopping at TJ Maxx. You can find amazing deals on so many items, especially when it comes to kids. My kids grow out of their clothes so quickly that you can't always afford to keep up with the ever-growing sizes. That is why a place like TJ Maxx is a great place to shop. Plus, they have way more than just clothes in store. You would be amazed by the variety of items they have in store.

If you're a big TJMaxx fan, like myself, you may already know this, but TJMaxx owns a few different home decor and clothing stores. You have HomeGoods and Marshall's, which I think are the most commonly known to be owned by the TJMaxx Company. TJ Maxx also owns a store called Sierra, which is for people who love the outdoors.

Here's What the Different Colored Price Tags Mean

According to Good Housekeeping, TJ Maxx and its other stores have a few different colored price tags and stickers. Let's break down what each of those represents.

  • White Tag- This indicates the normal price for an item at the store.
  • Blue Tag- This tag means that the item is part of a matching set but can be sold separately.
  • Purple Tag: These tags mean the item is part of TJ Maxx's 'The Runway'. It's "a higher-end collection featuring “European, contemporary and couture fashion."
  • Red Stickers: As you probably know, these are discounted items. At times you will see multiple red stickers on a tag.
  • Yellow Stickers: These are the ones to look out for. Yellow stickers mean that the item is at its lowest discounted price. So, snag it while you can!

Hopefully, this makes your next shopping experience at TJ Maxx or its other stores a little easier to navigate. It's the perfect time to get equated with the price tag system given the holidays.
