NOTE: 92.5 WBKR is a sister station of 99.5 WKDQ.

This Friday, our Yard Party series continues here at the WBKR studios. We're teaming up with the Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center for a mobile blood drive. To celebrate the importance of donating blood and saving lives here in western Kentucky, we're also wrangling in some food trucks for a fun, tasty and important event.

The WKRBC Bloodmobile will be set up in the WBKR parking lot at 3301 Frederica Street in Owensboro from 9am to 3pm on Friday, May 26th. You can stop by at your convenience and give the gift of life- blood.

The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center supplies blood and blood products to nine different facilities in the area:

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital

Ohio County Hospital

Crittenden Health System

Caldwell County Hospital

Jennie Stuart Medical Center

Breckinridge Memorial Health

Air Evac 92- Breckinridge County

Air Evac 120- Crittenden County

Air Evac 10- Christian County

Each time you donate blood, your donation is separated into three different components. Each component has the potential to save a life.

Please come by and see us on Friday and make your donation. The entire process will take roughly 30 to 40 minutes and that includes a pre-screening and the amount of time it actually takes for you to make your donation.

In addition having a big blood drive, the WKRBC has also invited some food trucks to the party.
