Warrick County is the latest Indiana county to ban the use of fireworks this July 4th.  The county issued a burn ban this morning that included a ban on the use of personal fireworks for at least a week.

Commissioners did not include in the ban, “the responsible use of gas or charcoal grills or any approved public fireworks display.”

The extreme drought and excessive heat made the burn ban necessary.  Commissioners set the ban in effect until July 9 and may extend that if conditions do not improve.
